With the rise of hybrid workplaces, it turns out that many remote workers don’t have the same setup at home as they had at work.
According to recent work from home statistics, 40% of the 856 people surveyed aren’t working from a dedicated desk.
So where are they working? 20% of them work from the living room and 30% from their master bedroom.
Does this sound familiar?
Without a correctly set up office and healthy working postures, getting an injury is just a matter of time.

In October 2021, I presented for Health New England’s Where Your Health Matters webinar series.
I’m confident you’ll find this webinar jam-packed with practical ergonomic solutions you can implement today!
… even if you’re sitting on a stool, or working from your kitchen counter 😉
Don’t just take my word for it…
Here’s what the host had to say afterward:
During the planning process, he was professional and made sure he had the correct information on what we needed, Zoom links, etc. His presentation was polished and impressive. He is very knowledgeable about human anatomy and even includes some stretches to get attendees moving. I would recommend Morgan Sutherland!
– Julia Wilkins, Senior Health Management Program Specialist, Health New England
Here’s What You’ll Learn:
In this engaging and content-rich 45 to 60-minute work from home ergonomics training for employees, Morgan will cover the following topics:
- Practical ergonomic solutions to improve your comfort, productivity, and safety while working remotely
- Common risk factors for ergonomic injuries
- The importance of neutral postures while working from home.
- Best practices for setting up your home office workstation
- Three microbreaks to help you recharge so you can prevent burnout
- Lastly, you’ll learn some effective ways to de-stress at your desk using breathwork, self-massage, and stretches.
Sessions run for 60-minutes with 15-minutes for Q & A. Presentations can be slightly modified based on your needs.
Before the webinar, Morgan can send out a Discomfort Survey to share with your staff, which helps to identify any present or potential ergonomic risks at their home office workstations.
It’s recommended that those individuals whose Discomfort Survey identifies them as high risk should consider getting a virtual ergonomic assessment to prevent work-related potential injuries.
Morgan presented a work from home ergonomics session for our staff, providing specific and actionable suggestions in a very accessible and supportive manner. Addressing today’s changing work environment, Morgan was so helpful, we brought him back twice more to present to our members across Massachusetts!

Morgan’s work from home ergonomics session was incredibly informative and offered a variety of techniques and strategies to reduce strain and stress when working from home. Our participants enjoyed learning best practices to avoid injury and took home tangible exercises and materials to continue these efforts on their own time. Morgan made the material very easy to understand and to use in the future. Thank you!
